Sometimes the focus and consistency of internal consultancy services can become a constraint to better organisational performance. We were asked to support changes being sought by a large agency through clear job descriptions and subtle changes to structure.

We worked with the agency to develop a proposal/consultation document to improve the consistency and quality of internal consultancy services.  This required balancing the introduction of new capabilities without the loss of significant institutional knowledge, whilst signalling the new direction.  By combining technical advice with clear communication, the shift in focus was successfully implemented.
