Commissioning consultancy projects

Successful consultancy projects and new initiatives rely on specific and realistic outcomes being clearly specified in Terms of Reference or other commissioning documents. Where the nature of some assignments mean outcomes cannot be clearly specified at the outset, a different approach is needed. Time pressure and capability gaps can mean a lack of focus at the beginning of external consultancy assignments can lead to sub-optimal outcomes or project failure.

We have developed Terms of References (TOR) for many of our clients to assist them with the effective commissioning of work to be undertaken by external parties. This has included TORs for achieving carbon neutrality, a review of an Internal Audit function, and a review of levy revenue systems.
